So this past Friday, my brother Ejay celebrated his 23rd birthday at my parents' house in Corona! I'm not about to post up the craziness that went down, but if you know Ejay, I'm sure you can find an album on his myspace or ask him for the link to the pictures I took. All I can say is, "blame it n the a-a-a-alcohol!"

Happy Easter
So this year we celebrated Easter a day early at Redondo Beach with the in-laws, the Molo family & the Burgos Family! It felt like a lazy sunday, but I guess some of that was attributed to this stinkin' cold I've been battling these last few days. Still, as I type I can't breathe out through my right nostril! lol. Anyways since we were gettin' our hands dirty feasting on fresh seafood, I didn't grab a chance to take pictures of the food like I did last year for Ron's birthday. But I had to take a picture of the sea urchin cause it was so unbelievable cool (yes I'm easily entertained!, hehe)! After lunch we all walked through the harbor, grabbed pictures, and ate churros. YUM! Sad we had to leave early cause Ron had to write his research paper. Oh wells, guess I better start editing Ejay's birthday pics from Friday night. Happy Easter everybody!

Ron and his lil brother, RJ

The first time I had Rj in front of a camera. Guess he wasn't use to it.. hehe
Happy hubby = happy wife.. or is it the other way around? LOL! On a different note, he has such a baby face!! I'm jealous!
Ron and his pops
There was a nice breeze blowing so I wanted to have fun with these pinwheels! Here's a simple camera trick with the shutter speed.

Mia & Jasper tie the knot!
Mia and Jasper's relationship has survived trials, tribulations, and even war. With both of them serving in the Air Force, distance has always been an issue from different parts of the country to different parts of the world (including Afghanistan!). Last weekend however, Mia and Jasper's relationship came full circle as they tied the knot in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the years that they've been together, they've had to rely on patience and trust to keep their relationship strong. So when time became their enemy on their big day, it didn't phase them one bit... In fact, I'm sure it made their vows that much sweeter....
Mia and Jasper, we're so greatful to have friends like you both! Just remember, we were there for you guys no matter how late it started! We wish you nothing but a lifetime of happiness and love as you finally begin your new lives together.
Since Ron was one of the groomsmen, I was with Jasper and the guys most of the day. Perfect opportunity to play with the Canon! Here are some of my faves!

What's New?!
So here's a life update since it's officially spring quarter at UCLA.
During spring break, all i did was work and make up for lost income. Ron and I don't share the same spring break so it made no sense for me to lounge around while he was in San Diego. I think I only had four days off in my two week spring break! I did however become NICU PICC certified after inserting three PICC lines in three babies, which is another skill I can now add to my resume.
Some spring break celebrations included my cousin MM's 18th Birthday in San Diego and our friends, Mia & Jasper's wedding in Vegas just this past weekend!
Additionally, I spent alot of time catching up with old friends over dinner. That was definitely a treat in itself and I'm so greatful to those who took time away from their busy schedules to meet up (Alfredo, Vina, Chel, Robert, Carlo, Grace, Dez, Joanna, and Jen)! I know we say this alot, but we definitely have to keep in touch and get together more often!
Also, Ron finally ended his 3 month clinical rotation in San Diego!! This means that he'll be coming home every day after clinical rather than coming home only on the weekends! Although it was hard to get used to in the beginning, I tried hard not to complain much... I knew he was being exposed to some awesome cases and getting his ass worked. Also, his school had provided weekly hotel accommodations and Kaiser San Diego offered complimentary breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I'm sure he'll be missing his late nights of pillow talk.. eRr i mean venting with Lance, but hey he'll survive! His new clinical site is Kaiser Panaroma City, so he'll be dealing with the LA traffic now. But don't feel toooo bad for him, next year in May he'll be in his Hawaii rotation for a month!! I'm currently working on figuring out a way to visit him since I'll be busy in my last month of grad school during that time!
Anyways as I mentioned earlier, spring quarter has officially started. This is also my first quarter of practicum aka preceptorship. Luckily for me, I was matched at St. Joseph's with their CNO. Although I wasn't expecting to follow a CNO on my first practicum, atleast I'm only driving to Orange County rather than driving to LA! Other than my practicum, I'm currently enrolled in nursing finance and brand management at Anderson's business school. Hopefully this quarter is alot smoother than last quarter!

Boneyard Fun
While in Vegas for Jasper and Mia's wedding, Ron and I decided to do something a little different (and a little touristy) by scoping out some sin city history! We made reservations to tour the Neon Boneyard, which is basically a junkyard of old historical Vegas neon signs. The guided tour was very informative, but what made the experience even more exciting was all the photo opportunities! The tour guide said that there are plans for restorations and a future gift shop in this upcoming year or so, so stop by and visit whenever you're in vegas!
Later on we attended Jasper and Mia's wedding. I was a guest, so I managed to shoot what I could without getting in the way of the hired photographers or interfering with their lighting ;-) Here's just a sneak peak. I actually have the shot right after this which has them locking lips, but i absolutely love this moment right before that kiss! I disabled my flash so that I wouldn't be interfering with the main photogs, but I'm totally feeling this ambiance. Stay tuned!
